Canberra Dance Theatre is looking for an Office Coordinator
Canberra Dance Theatre Incorporated (CDT) is a community owned, not-for-profit dance organisation that has operated in Canberra for more than 40 years. We are open seven days a week, providing a wide range of dance classes and performance opportunities for adults.
CDT is located in Canberra City, close to ANU, in a modern studio space with good office facilities. We operate with a small number of part-time paid staff and a group of volunteers.
We need a responsible, reliable person to work 9 hours per week (part time) at CDT, preferably over three weekday afternoon/evening shifts. We offer flexible employment conditions and good benefits, including superannuation. The initial engagement will be on a 3-month contract.
Duties include operating and maintaining CDT’s online booking system (Bookeo); processing invoices and payments and maintaining accurate financial records; liaising with administration volunteers, teachers, hirers, cleaners and other contractors, as needed; answering general enquiries about CDT; and providing administrative assistance to the Artistic Director.
You will have good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and databases) and experience with bookkeeping, preferably using Xero or similar software.
You will have good people skills and well developed organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks. An interest in dance would be an asset.
You will be available to start work as soon as possible.
