New dancers
Unsure of which class you’d like to take? Pay for the first one then try them all for a whole week! See the admin staff about 10 to 15 minutes before class to sign up then show the receipt for any other class for the following week. Ask our lovely admins for further details. And… in addition to a physical workout, dance is an excellent exercise in mental well-being. Check out our FAQs and Notes for First-Timers.
CDT is a member of Ausdance ACT and follows the Australian Guidelines for Teaching Dance, as published by Ausdance National, and the Code of Ethics for Dance Teachers. All classes have warm-ups and cool-downs.
We encourage feedback about classes and teachers directly to the office staff or to office.canberradancetheatre@gmail.com. Have a compliment or a gripe? Let the office staff know quickly so we can pass it on.
Two Semesters – it’s how we dance
CDT follows a two-semester pattern, with a winter break. Keep doing class all the way through to the Saturday before Christmas. House dance party for Christmas when we celebrate our dancers and their classes!
If you attend a dance class provided by someone who hires the studio, you will need to pay their fees directly to them.
