Katherine started ballet classes at the age of four at a local ballet school in Sydney. As a high school student she won a scholarship to train in classical ballet and contemporary at The McDonald College. During this time she danced corps de ballet and solo roles with Premier State Ballet Company; performing in Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, and other classics, as well as working with choreographers such as Rosetta Cook and Terrence Kholer.
Katherine then took a hiatus from ballet until 2012 when she moved to Boston and rediscovered her love of dance, training with the contemporary company Anna Myer and Dancers. Upon returning to Sydney, Katherine became a devotee of Studio Tibor, performing a lead role in the studio’s production of Les Sylphides. After moving to Canberra in 2014 Katherine completed her Advanced II RAD exam and discovered the wonderful adult ballet community at Canberra Dance Theatre.
